How often does a door need an inspection?
It depends. Intervals are determined by manufacturers' specifications and/or industry standards, and depend on a number of factors including door cyclage and operating environment.
DEXSYS provides interval guidance as work instructions in the Dealer Portal where the PM schedule is set using a system of Due Months. When a due month is set, it means the door requires an inspection during that calendar month.
All doors should have at least one SafedoorPM every calendar year, and may have several depending on manufacturers' recommendations and the door's operating parameters.
The door's PM schedule is shown as read-only in the Door Editor screen, and can only be edited from the Dealer Portal.
A door will be in one of three schedule states.
Current - the active inspection was completed as scheduled, and the next due month is in the future.
Due - the active inspection was completed as scheduled, and now the due month is the current calendar month.
Overdue - a due month has come and gone without an inspection being completed. The door is late for an inspection.
